Structure and Parts Hard Disk Drive

Disc / Platter : is a plate or dish that serves as a data storage medium, a compact disc which has a magnetic patterns on every surface, usually made of metal-containing millions / billions of small magnets (magnetic domains). Domains arranged in one or two directions representing a binary code "1" and "0" Number Plate on each disk is different depending on the type and capacity.

Spindle shaft : is a place to put platter and has an activator function called splinder rotating platter motor. Rotation is the unit of measure RPM (Rotation per minutes = rounds per minute). Existing hard drive speed 5400 RPM, 7200 RPM and 10,000 RPM.

Head : serves to read data on the platter surface and write the information data into it. A Platter has 2 Head (since 1 fruit platter surfaces top and bottom to function as a medium for writing and reading data).
Slider and actuators : Slider is a place holder head, the slider itself is located and attached to a stalk called the actuator arms, and connecting the actuator axes mounted on the shaft actuator patent and controlled by the controller.

Controller Board : serve to control information exchange data between components of a computer hard drive with the other components. A connecting cable connecting the controller board to manage and drive the actuator and spindle motors.

jumper : Serves to connect the between pins of each other, here the function to set the Master or Slave setting of a hard drive.
